Clinical Professor, Physical Therapy
Bradford Martin is a Professor of Physical Therapy in the School of Allied Health Professions at 国产视频 (LLU). He teaches courses in neuroanatomy, histology, and pathology to physical therapy students, and human gross anatomy to physical therapy and occupational therapy students.
Research interests of Martin include studies on anatomical terminology confusion, anatomical anomalies, and various topics in physical therapy. His research publications have appeared in Anatomical Sciences Education, Journal of Biomedical Education, and Assistive Technology. He is a member of the Clinical Anatomy Terminology (CAT) Committee for the American Association of Clinical Anatomists, which has developed the anatomicalterms.info website that lists Terminologia Anatomica terms, as well as synonyms that are creating confusion amongst students, academicians, and clinicians. The CAT Committee is currently working on definitions for anatomical terms on anatomicalterms.info.
Awards received from the School of Allied Health Professions at LLU include the Faculty Recognition Award (2011) and Certificates of Appreciation for Physician Assistant Sciences (2008, 2010). He has been listed in the Who’s Who Among American’s Teachers (1996, 2002, 2005-07). From La Sierra University, he received the Academic Advisor of the Year Award (2000) and Biology Professor of the Year award (1998).
Martin holds a PhD and MA in Biology from LLU, as well as a BS in Biology from La Sierra University and BS in Physical Therapy from LLU. He is a member of the American Association of Anatomists, American Association of Clinical Anatomists, and American Physical Therapy Association. Martin is a licensed Physical Therapist in the State of California and holds the California Community Colleges Instructor Credential in Biological Sciences.
