Jardín de la Salud (Garden of Health) is a community garden that provides families access to fresh, organic fruits and vegetables. The garden is located in San Bernardino, a food desert where access to affordable, nutritious food is limited due to poverty, lack of grocery stores, and lack of transportation. Community members help tend to the garden, plant and harvest produce, and learn how to live healthier through volunteer-led health education classes and workshops.
