LLUH purpose

LLUH serves the Seventh-day Adventist Church in its mission "to make man whole" physically, intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually. The global purpose of the organization is to continue Christ's healing and teaching ministry. This is accomplished through education of healthcare professionals, scholars, and scientists, through delivery of healthcare, and through research.

LLUH history

¹ú²úÊÓƵ was created on March 27, 1997, when the constituency of Adventist Health System, Loma Linda met and voted to change its name to ¹ú²úÊÓƵ Adventist Health Sciences Center.

The constituency also voted to change the bylaws making LLUAHSC (pronounced "lew-ask") the corporate member for ¹ú²úÊÓƵ, as well as ¹ú²úÊÓƵ Medical Center. On March 30, 1997, the ¹ú²úÊÓƵ constituency met to change the bylaws of the University to reflect the new corporate membership relationship with LLUAHSC
